What we do

Haircut helps barbershops and salons run day-to-day operations: staff scheduling, client booking, inventory, reporting, and payments. Clients book appointments online at participating shops. Shop owners and barbers manage their business through the Haircut web and mobile apps.

SMS messaging program

Haircut is the sender of all messages. Clients create a direct relationship with Haircut by booking on Haircut’s own website (www.gethaircut.app) and apps, and opt in to messaging directly with Haircut. A message may name the shop a client booked for context, but the shop is not the sender and never receives the client’s phone number. Providing a mobile number to complete a booking does not by itself enroll someone in SMS; consent is optional and not required to schedule or purchase.

Who receives messages: Clients who booked through Haircut. Transactional appointment messages go to clients who provide a mobile number when booking; promotional messages go only to clients who additionally check a separate, optional marketing-consent box.

Why messages are sent: Transactional — appointment confirmations, reminders, and reschedule or cancellation notices for appointments booked through Haircut. Promotional (separate opt-in only) — rebooking reminders and occasional offers, sent by Haircut, relating to the shops the client books with on Haircut. Marketing consent is collected separately and is never required to book.

Privacy: Mobile opt-in and SMS consent data are used only to support messaging in Haircut and are not shared or sold to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Shops do not receive client phone numbers and cannot text clients directly through Haircut.

How customers opt in

During online booking on Haircut, clients enter their name and phone number and opt in directly with Haircut. Transactional appointment messages are disclosed at that point and are based on the client choosing to book. Promotional/marketing messages require a separate, unchecked, optional consent checkbox that is not pre-selected and is never a condition of purchase. The two consents are not bundled, and consent is given to Haircut — not shared with or transferred to shops or any other third party.
